TV covenant anchor and compere Tariq Aziz buried in Lahore’s Garden Town Cemetery.

Well known TV host Tariq Aziz has been laid to rest in his mother’s side in the cemetery located in Garden Town, Lahore. His funeral prayers were offered by Qari Sadaqat. Imran Shoki, Sarfraz Vicky and close relatives attended.
Tariq Aziz had been ill for some time and today at the age of 84 he met the Lord. He was born in Jalandhar in 1936. However, after the formation of Pakistan, he came to Pakistan with his family. He received his early education in Sahiwal.
He started his professional life with Radio Pakistan Lahore. When Pakistan Television was started in 1964, Tariq Aziz was the first male announcer of PTV. ۔ When the auction house was reopened after a gap of several years, it was renamed “Tariq Aziz Show”. Thus, he hosted the program for more or less 40 years.
Tariq Aziz also showed the talent of his acting on the big screen, his first film “Insaniyat” was released in 1967. He also starred in Salgirah, Qasam Us Waqt Ki, Katari, Chirag Kahan Roshni Kahan and Har Gaya Insan.
Tariq Aziz also entered politics. In the 1997 general elections, he contested and won the National Assembly seat NA-94 from Lahore on a PML-N ticket. His opponent was also Prime Minister Imran Khan. Who was fighting the first election of his political life at that time.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of Tariq Aziz and said that he offered his condolences to his family and prayed for them.
