Jibran Nasir and Mansha Pasha got engaged in an intimate ceremony on Sunday, and soon after social media was abuzz with adorable snaps and videos of the couple that we just couldn’t help but swoon over. Congratulatory messages and love for the couple started pouring in and making rounds on social media. But one video from the ceremony did not go down well with some Twitteratis who were quick to criticise it.
The video shows Jibran joking about his ‘right to kiss’ Mansha by humorously saying “Jaiz hai?” (It’s allowed right?) as he proceeds to give his bride a small kiss on the cheek.
The video has drawn severe backlash from social media users for advocating ‘Kiss before Nikkah’ as a rightful act.
While some Twitter users viewed the kiss as a ‘publicity tactic’ by Jibran.
“Awww Jibran nasir u so innocent. Actually he knows that kissing after engagement is not jaiz but he wanted to kiss her anyways so he act like he is an innocent ” so people can react like awww awww how cute how sweet hayeee his innocence stole my heart,” tweeted a user.
