I have had inspiration from Kendrick Lamar: Macey AP

Q: First of all we want to say welcome to you.
A: Thank you for having me
Q: How did you come into music industry?
A: I basically started like any other person. Learning new stuff everyday. Wether it was about beats, recording, audio, publishing etc. I’m still learning as we speak, it took steps to leap into music.
Q: Who was your inspiration for music?
A: I have had inspiration from Kendrick Lamar, to drake, to chief keef. Most of that stemming from older music they did though I don’t listen to a lot of new music.
Q: What is the name of your debut song?
A: the name of my “Debut” single was actually named 12, but if we’re being technical my debut single is actually “Life Strange”.

Q: Say something about your musical journey?
A: It was really a struggle early on, still is sometimes. Earlier on there was just so much learning I had to do, rather than now where I have lots to learn but can comprehend better. Things are going great but I’m not even close to the peak of my career.
Q: Who helped you most in your journey? Who gave you pieces of advice?
A: No specific person, id say a circle of people that have supported me the most. Advice wise there’s been engineers who’ve gave me great advice, wether it was working on my writing process, or recording techniques, just all around stuff.
Q: What do you do now a days?
A: Now a days I try to stay out of trouble. Cut old habits you know do what I can to stay the f*** away from the 12. You know f*** 12. I work on music, listen to beats daily, always ready to work you know.
Q: Let us know something about your future projects
A: After this single ” Wait Okay ” I might drop a song or 2 for the cloud (SoundCloud), but I’ll properlly work on my 4 track EP, Album will come later on this year or maybe next year we’ll see. I go with whatever my gut feels at the moment but I always gotta plan a, b, c etc.
Q: What is your message to your fans?
A: S*** it’d have to be you guys are f****** awesome. I love em. The support and love I get is dope, it’ll only get bigger and bigger too.
Q: Any message for new artist?
A: Message to new artist is learn. Learn as much knowledge about music, the industry and overall as much as you can. Don’t get discouraged by fails or if things don’t go your way. If it’s meant to happen it’ll happen. Last but not least BE PATIENT.
