Q: First of all we want to say thank you for doing our interview!
Ans; Thanks for having me!
Q: How did you decide to get into the music industry?
Ans: Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I can’t really pinpoint when a “decision” was made, it’s just always kinda been there.
Q: Who is your greatest inspiration ?
Ans: My greatest inspiration is probably Miley Cyrus. She really doesn’t care what people think of her and I love that.
Q: Tell us a bit about your songs and how you become inspired to write?
Ans: I wrote my first full song “Cancer” when I was 15. It’s a really angsty song written on my Ukelele, kinda inspired by Nevershoutnever.
Q: How has your musical journey been so far? And what have you learned?
Ans: I’d rather write and perform the truth even if it’s ugly and no one likes it than write a song that I can’t feel in my heart.
Q: Who has helped you most in your journey?
Ans: That’s a great question. It’s pretty hard to answer that. I have a really great support system, including teachers, friends, family.
Q: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Ans: Within the next 5 years, I definitely wanna go on tour. That’s my goal.
Q: What do you do in your spare time when not performing?
Ans: I have two cats. I’m a crazy cat lady. Aside from that, I volunteer in a non profit that I’m heavily involved in.
Q: What is the next move for Weirdeux?
Ans: In July, I’ll be traveling to Denver to produce some new stuff. Hoping to do some shows while I’m out there.
Q: What is your message to your fans?
Ans: Be true to yourself. The only thing that matters is that you like you.
Q: Anything you would like to share about your newest songs?
Ans: My newest batch of songs are really, really special to me. I was in a heavily emotionally abusive relationship for two years, and most of the new stuff is inspired by how painful it was for that to end, and how painful it is to look back on it now and realize that it wasn’t the happy relationship that I thought it was.
