Q: First of all we want to say welcome to you.
A:
Thank you so much.

Q: How did you come into music industry?
A:
I’ve been writing and playing music since my teen years but I official entered the music industry when my song was recorded by gospel music legend and 4 time Grammy winner the late Edwin Hawkins.

Q: Who was your inspiration for music?
A:
Although I love jazz I would have to say I was so inspired by Andre’ Crouch and Danniebelle Hall (both gospel music legends that have passed on).

Q: What is the name of your debut song?
A:
“Sweeter”

Q: Say something about your musical journey?
A:
My journey has been exciting, disappointing, adventurous and at this stage in life worth everything I’ve endured.

Q: Who helped you most in your journey?
A:
That’s a very hard question because there have been so many along the way but I’d have to say that my faith in God has helped me the most.

Q: Who gave you pieces of advice?
A:
Many have but I’d say the advise was from Josh Groban who once told me, “Nona, you are really great, keep going”.

Q: What do you do now a days?
A:
I am working as vocal producer for a gospel CD of a local artist, preparing to begin work on Volume II of “Songs from My Journal” as well as preparing to sing with Marsha Wash at South by Southwest. In March I will be traveling to Tokyo Japan as guest clinician and performer at a major Gospel Music event.

Q: Let us know something about your future projects
A:
We will begin work soon on “Songs from My Journal Volume II” followed by an acoustic project in 2021.

Q: What is your message to your fans?
A:
Stay true to your gift and craft, have faith in something and never give up!

Q: Any message for new artist?
A:
Everything that shines is not gold. If ever presented with a deal from a record label make sure you have your own attorney and fully understand what you are committing to. Nothing is free and they are signing you to make money.
