Q: First of all we want to say welcome to you.
Ans: Thank you!

Q: How did you come into music industry?
Ans: Well, I started as a drummer. I’ve been playing drums since I was a kid and I got into my first real band in my sophomore year of high school. No Lungs started in December 2017, and I basically wanted to have a project that gave me full creative control. So I record everything myself, and I mix it myself too. The No Lungs stuff has a really lofi bedroom feel because, well…it’s all recorded in a bedroom.

Q: Who was your inspiration for music?
Ans: . I don’t have many inspirations, but I guess the bands that have an influence on No Lungs are the bands like Nirvana and The Get Up Kids. I really have a thing for bands that make you feel something. The inspirations change all of the time though.

Q: What is the name of your debut song?
Ans: The debut song is called “All Is Well”. It’s the first song I ever put up and it’s on an album called These Threads Lead Somewhere. You can find it on Bandcamp or Spotify or where ever you stream music.

Q: Say something about your musical journey?
Ans: It hasn’t been much of a journey since it has only been two months but I have received a huge amount of support especially on social media, like Instagram. I really appreciate it! I already got more than I bargained for!

Q: Who helped you most in your journey?
Ans: Myself. It sounds kind of conceited but I had to kind of kick my ass into gear to do this music thing and nobody else could have really helped with that. You gotta help yourself sometimes if you know you’re struggling. Aside from that, my pals Austin Carson, Noah Nason, and Sam Etling are helping to make these songs work live. On the albums, I’m playing everything myself, so these three are really helping me out when it comes to performing live because I obviously can’t play everything myself live. So if anyone sees No Lungs live, they’ll see me playing guitar and singing, Austin Carson on second guitar, Noah on bass, and Sam on drums!

Q: Who gave you pieces of advice?
Ans: I never really got any advice from people, to be honest. I’ve had to work a lot of this stuff out myself.

Q: What do you do now a days?
Ans: What do I do now a days? Uh, I mean when I’m not doing No Lungs I’m probably at work. I’m a behavior therapist, and it’s a super rewarding job. I’m not sure if that’s the type of answer you want, haha.

Q: Let us know something about your future projects.
Ans: Well, the first No Lungs album came out in January of this year but I’m putting another one out in March. It’s Called Never Live It Down. I’m extremely stoked about it. Before that, we’re playing our first shows ever on March 3rd and March 9th in Tempe, Arizona. More info can be found on Instagram. The handle is @nolungsaz.

Q: What is your message to your fans?
Ans: Hello fans! Thanks for supporting No Lungs. I’m so grateful to have you on my side.

Q: Any message for new artist?
Ans: I am a new artist so I don’t really have a message for new artists. Let’s just go at this together!
