Q: First of all we want to say welcome to you.
A: It is my pleasure to do this interview for one of my favourite music websites.
Q: How did you come into music industry?
A: I’ve always been a music freak since I was kid, but it wasn’t until 2016 that I decided to not only do it as a hobby, but also get into the electronic music industry. I spent more than $20,000 building my own studio with all the top gears like compressors, audio interfaces and microphones. I took hours of lessons understanding the theory of music production and trained with the best DJs I could find. Eventually I was making beats every day and then in 2017, I released my first EDM single which somehow made it onto radio in Europe and USA.
Q: Who was your inspiration for music?
A: It’s a funny thing, because though I listen to many kind of music, I won’t say anyone has inspired me. I never wanted to do EDM, but somehow all the tracks I created had that EDM vibe to it. I guess things like this happens and you just have to accept it.
Q: What is the name of your debut song?
A: My debut song was titled ‘Sex Magic’ and it took me about a month to compose and produce. It was one of the easiest songs I’ve written. Everything just flowed naturally.
Q: Say something about your musical journey?
A: I’ve always known this was something I’ve always wanted to do but I just never knew it would cause me to continue this path. You see, after the release of ‘Sex Magic’ I started receiving requests from labels, artists and established YouTube channels to ghostwrite for them.. and that is something I’ve been doing for a while now.
Q: Who helped you most in your journey?
A: I would say the producers and artists that I have met on the way are the ones that have truly helped polish my craft. Whenever I record in a commercial studio (I no longer record at home), it would almost be guaranteed that I’ll meet someone new. We’ll exchange advice, help each other out — and that have turned to be very beneficial for both of us.
Q: Who gave you pieces of advice?
A: I take advice from people anywhere, even from reading other artists’ interviews on MUZENT. Because this is an art, there is really no set rule that you must follow, and every person’s advice count.
Q: What do you do now a days?
A: I have been splitting my time between writing new materials for myself and working with several labels. It is a fun process that never gets tiring.
Q: Let us know something about your future projects
A: I am currently working on a website called Gemtracks where aspirating artists can buy beats online to use in their own songs. One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of singers are great at writing lyrics, but when it comes to creating the backing tracks, they’re usually left clueless. I hope my website will be able to benefit them.
Q: What is your message to your fans?
A: Keep your eyes out because more music will be released soon. I am also expecting to release a new music video too.
Q: Any message for new artist?
A: Keep doing what you are doing. The music scene is changing every day, and what may be hot today may be old tomorrow. Even if no one likes your work, keep persisting and I guarantee that you’ll eventually make it.
