Port Grand, Karachi this February witnessed the grand music extravaganza as Raasta, Sahir Lodhi’s most anticipated movie launched is music tracks. The movie has songs ranging from Qawwali to peppy genre. Legendary names of Pakistan’s film and music industry graced the event with their presence, including Shabnam, Syed Noor, Shabbir Jan, Shaista Lodhi and Shehroz Sabzwari, along with the film entire cast and crew made the occasion. The renowned young talent of Pakistani drama industry Aleena Khan along with her partner Muhammad Ramis unfolded the black and white colors on stage, making every single person reminisce the golden period of Pakistani’s film industry. Aleena and Ramis performed on the songs of Lollywood’s chocolate boy, Waheed Murad. Aleena’s attire also gave her performance a touch of 90’s. Before the event Aleena was super energetic during her rehearsals making sure she does justice to the class of songs she would be performing on.

Here is what Aleena had to say about Raasta the movie and its music: “My experience with Sahir Sir had been great. The effort that had been put in the movie by every single crew member is admirable. The music is wide ranging and has enough potential to outclass Bollywood songs on our radios and players. For this particular launch event we have given our two hundred percent in rehearsals. Sahir is a great man and has been a center of support and energy for every single one of us.

The performance overall was beautiful tribute to a legend of Pakistani silver screen, Waheed Murad. During Aleena’s performance Sahir made his entry on the stage with his movie’s theme song ‘Raasta’ energizing the air.
